Hopefully. I am trying to get back to eating right (been good for a whole week!) and exercising regularly. Already starting to feel a little better. Got 30 plus pounds to shed. It’s go time. What’s Oppo doing to stay fit?

I’m going to the gym every other night for around an hour and controlling portion size. I have a wedding to slim down for.

I don’t know yet, considering this workout http://www.vice.com/read/i-tried-a…

I signed up for a Spartan race and have been working out three times a week so that I don’t die in the woods.

I’ve been biking a lot now that the weather is nicer, going to the gym 3-4 times per week, and eating less (Not necessarily better, though...)

I have feet problems so I quietly resigned from my position of track team captain. This was a month ago. It was embarrassing being in pain on a 6:45 mile when last year I was 5:07. I’ll probably get back with my team for XC summer workouts then run intermural at college this fall.

Oatmeal + Protein Shake for Breakfast. Fage yogurt + Protein shake for lunch. Working out 3 times a week but I need to up it to 5, I need to lose about 20 lbs.

Rock climbing and taking the stairs at every opportunity.

I hate running. Rock climbing is for everyone who wants to socialize while doing something healthy. I’m going outdoors this weekend!!!!!!!!!!

Guess it kinda leads me to go hiking more...or that’s the hope.

I really enjoy running. Never thought I would say that. But my knees are giving me trouble. Both of them. Not pushing it too hard.

I love hiking. If the mountains were just a hair closer, I’d go every weekend. Closest hiking trail near me is 1.5 hours. Not bad but not something you can do all the time.

I am doing Oatmeal as well. Protein shake stuff I have but need to use it more to stave off the hunger. Keep it up!

Yeah, the eating less thing is a pain in the ass. I’m hungry all the time. I know that feeling will pass when my body gets used to the new normal but still! Eating a lot more vegetables as well.

Yeah, I have a few events that are forcing me to be better. Also, I’d like to get to the beach at some point and not be a beached whale.

A friend of mine just did that. It was insane. My knees couldn’t take that kind of abuse.

I’m comfortable with my weight and how it makes me look, my only issue is terrible unsightly patchy back hair. It’s the worst.

See, I can’t grow facial hair to save my life. Clean shaven is the only way. I’d kill for a goatee tho.... I have a problem with my looks in general so the weight is just the one thing I can control on some level.

I have CAD skills, tech support skills, sales skills and general fun skills (I can be rather entertaining to be around especially with my self-deprecating humor). Web development skills I do not possess.

My fiancee loves my beard but I hate maintaining it. I usually let it get a little wild and then trim it off, to which she tells me my face looks broken. If it helps, polls have shown women prefer clean-shaven men to their more-bearded counterparts.

Yeah...no real mountains anywhere near me. We have hills and trails around ponds. I need to take advantage of just being outside more.

Couldn’t prove it by me. Every woman/dude couple where I live is like “I want to shave my beard off” and then the GF goes “Nope, not gonna happen, I like it.” It’s like this all the time.

Kinja'd!!! Party-vi > Hooker
05/08/2015 at 11:24

Kinja'd!!!0

I think that’s more of an exposure issue. I’m sure among the younger crowd women like beards more but that probably falls off as they get older. Still, not being able to cultivate facial hair doesn’t mean you’re dead in the water :)

Haha. You going to give me a job? That’s kind of the only rub. Oh, and selling my house. Which I am kind of partial to.

Me too. But honestly, even though we have had the most Spring like weather since forever this year, I haven’t been out much. Also, kind of hate humidity but I deal with it if I have to.

Exactly. I have a buddy of mine who can be clean shaven one day and two days later have a mostly full beard. It’s insane.

Yeah man thanks. I’ve got Optimum Nutrition whey that I mix with Vanilla Almond Milk. I used to use dairy milk but too much sugar, carbs, lactose is all bad for losing weight. The Almond Milk is only 60 calories per serving and less than half the sugar, fat and no lactose (which takes a long time to digest), it has no protein but I get all the protein I need from the whey.

I love to ride my bike. It’s kind of in pieces right now from when I tried to tune it up and adjust the gears myself. Bad idea. It’s cheap though so I will likely get something nicer at some point.

One thing at a time. Haha. I have to discipline myself enough to learn how to 3D AutoCAD first. That’s a bear and I am not happy about it.

Kinja'd!!!0

Hell yeah it is, I was just telling my friend how $6 gets you a carton of Almond Milk but $4 gets you a gallon of dairy milk. As usual it’s what I call the “healthy tax”, healthier options are not as subsidized and therefore cost more.

Kinja'd!!! Hooker > Rico
05/08/2015 at 13:18

Kinja'd!!!1

Which sucks. For those of us who want no processed foods and as much organic as possible, it’s near impossible to eat on a budget. And I have a shoestring one at that.

Kinja'd!!! RallyWrench > Hooker
05/08/2015 at 13:30

Kinja'd!!!0

It’s a lot easier on the knees than running. I’ve always been into bikes to some degree, but I used to be an avid runner, doing 1/2 marathon distance pretty regularly, going through shoes every few months. Then my knees started hurting really badly, a sharp pain within a couple of miles. So I gave that up and focused mainly on bikes, mountain and road, and I haven’t looked back.

It’s OK to run slow sometimes. All out all the time is bad for you.

Kinja'd!!! Hooker > Slant6
05/08/2015 at 14:03

Kinja'd!!!0

Oh trust me, it’s slow. I struggle to do a sub 10 minute mile when first starting out my training. Pushing a whole lot more than that is painful.

Kinja'd!!! Hooker > RallyWrench
05/08/2015 at 14:05

Kinja'd!!!0

See, as long as I am running (ENDORPHINS YAY!) I don’t feel much in the way of pain. It’s the next day at times that are bad or if I push too hard, the same day a few hours later.
